Our new home

We hope to close this week. Someone forgot to order a survey of the property. No one takes the blame but it was the responsibity of the mortgage company we think. Oh well, it will be done the beginning of the week and then we can close. We went ahead and put bug killer and weed killer on the yard before we even own it.

The house is about 1700sf with four bedrooms and a bonus room above the garage. We will start with the bonus room for our remodel. That way, when it is finished, we will have somewhere to rest while the remainder of the house is in dirty and not completed yet. We are doing all new floors throughout the entire home, painiting all paintable surfaces, repairing the water heater, and cleaning everything. Some fixtures will be replaced. The master bathroom will be retiled and repaired. THEN we will have a new home. :)

We met new neighbors, Danny and Sherree, and they seem great. They like the neighborhood. The girls and I went on a walk and that was fun. We think there are many kids in the area. We learned that the previous family in this home had a daughter named Whitney. It was meant to be!
